Qjimbo This is not your typical fan video game orchestration - no washy strings to be found here. Instead we get punchy rhythmic layers, a variety of styles, and influences from George Gershwin (Chemical Dance) to Bernard Herrmann (Spring Yard March) to more recent composers like Steve Jablonsky (Green Interlude). You don't need to be a Sonic fan to enjoy this album which is as much a tribute to the classic games as it is to orchestral music from the last century.

Dee Hsu Don't let the silly cover art fool you...this is the most creative and enjoyable Sonic album I've ever heard, period. You know you're in for something special the moment the first track starts and you hear the classic Sega jingle transformed into a truly beautiful piece of music. Every track is equally brilliant, but each in its own unique way. The only critique I have is most of the tracks are relatively short, but that's probably just me being greedy. This album is well worth the purchase. Favorite track: Aquatic Valse.
