"Spägelbück" fut à la base une histoire que j'ai rédigée il y a longtemps alors que je m'essayais à la rédaction de nouvelles. C'est par la suite qu'il m'est venu l'idée de composer un premier poème symphonique lorsque j'ai acquis les moyens techniques de le produire. Cette suite orchestrale s'est vue greffée de ses différentes parties durant cinq ans. Tous les thèmes ont trouvé leur harmonie esthétique dans les textures orchestrales lorsqu'il a fallu passer du piano aux instruments de l'orchestre, mais le piano reste le "narrateur" principal de cette histoire que je vous invite à "recréer" vous-même en écoutant cette suite.
